Purpose

Our junior high ministry exists to help students begin to develop an identity that is centered on their relationship with Jesus Christ. In today’s culture, adolescents can easily be distracted by the influences of both peers and media sources. We want to encourage our students to focus on maturing as followers of Christ. We hope to help students move forward in the discipleship process by loving them, modeling a Christ-like lifestyle, and investing the Word of God in their hearts.

Our focus is relationship building. We want students to see their leaders’ faith in action and be influenced to develop a faith that is their own. We are committed to providing a fun, safe atmosphere where students are comfortable building relationships with peers and adults, learning truth from the Bible, worshipping God, and serving others.

Programs

Youth Bible Fellowships: Sundays, 10:30–11:45 AM, G.Y.M.
Jr. High Youth: Wednesdays, 6:30–8:30 PM, G.Y.M.
K-Groups: K-Group Sundays, 6:00–8:00 PM
Boys meet in the G.Y.M., Girls in the Dining Room

Student Bible Fellowship

Students will meet together at the G.Y.M. for the opportunity to hang out with friends, experience worship led by a live band, and listen to applicable teaching designed specifically to meet the needs of adolescents.

Jr. High Youth

This program is designed to be a mid-week “refresher” for students who need a brief escape from the issues they face in today’s culture. Youth is a great time to hang out with friends, play fun games, watch funny videos and skits, sing contemporary worship songs and listen to applicable teaching.

K-Groups

This program takes place every other Sunday night and coincides with Adult K-Groups. This is an opportunity for Jr. High students to study the Bible and discuss relevant topics in a comfortable, relaxed small group setting.
