Sending along some pictures of ACA agriculture endeavors. There are all sorts of fruit trees that they have planted; cherry, guava, pomegranate, mango, lemon, gooseberry, and several others. They are also growing rice and about to plant wheat. We have been enjoying some wonderful cherry jam that Leela made with some of the fruit here. They water the banana orchards (over 400 trees right now) and the rice fields with recycled water (we Wichitans know about that, don’t we!).
They collect rain water from the roof of the new auditorium and store it in an underground 130,000 (or so) liter tank to use for watering the campus grass and gardens, trees etc. More to come!
