Worship

Gatherings centered on worship through music, prayer, and study of the Scriptures at 9:00 and 10:45

About Worship

Each Sunday is a unique opportunity for the church body to gather in worship together. Our hope is that through singing and studying God’s Word, we will come to know and love Him more. We also plan special services throughout the year and coordinate musical worship for different age groups, all designed to help us go deeper as faithful followers of Jesus.

Sunday Morning Worship

Teaching

We strive to consistently teach the Bible in a way that allows it to speak for itself, exposing you to its truth and encouraging you to dig deeper beyond our limited time on Sunday morning. Our pastors spend much of their time unearthing the originally-intended meaning of each specific passage from the Bible in order to better connect it with our lives in postmodern America. We usually continue in each study for several weeks, whether we’re examining a book of the Bible or teaching a Biblical perspective on a particular topic. You can explore our previous messages to learn more.

Music

We believe that music is an important tool that helps us ascribe worth to God. It also prepares us to listen to Him as we study the Word. Christian songwriters of every generation have added stylistic and literary distinctiveness to church music, all unified in their worship of God yet diversified by cultural change. As a result, a typical Sunday here includes modern music from today’s songwriters alongside some of the best historical works of the church. Instrumental and vocal artistry is provided by a rotating team of musicians from within our church family.

Families

Both worship service times are designed for your kids through 5th grade to begin with you in the Auditorium as we sing, pray, and observe the ordinances of the church together. Then, before the Bible teaching begins, they will be dismissed (at your discretion as parents) to a separate program in our Children’s Ministry area. See what else is happening for kids.

Meet the Team

Our staff are happy to answer any questions you may have about how worship ministry works, what opportunities are available, and how you can get connected.

Blake Boyd

Worship Pastor

Blake joined the Grace Church staff in 2010 as an intern while completing his bachelors degree at Midwestern State University. Blake and his wife Caroline have been married since 2012 and have three children.

While serving as an intern he had an opportunity to lead worship for Junior High students. It was rough but it sparked a growing desire. Blake has a heart for worship ministry and using music as a way for the church body to draw near to God. Blake enjoys being outdoors, the occasional DIY project (when successful) and – most of all – spending time with his family.

Kimberly Ravelo

Worship Ministry Coordinator

Kimberly has attended Grace Church since she moved to Wichita Falls in 2014. She has served on our worship team for several years and joined the staff in 2021. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology from Hardin-Simmons University and her Doctorate in Audiology from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

Kimberly loves supporting our team in a variety of ways including vocal coaching, hearing conservation, and coordinating worship team events. She can often be found discussing books or podcasts, and taking long lunches with friends and family.
